Peru Study Abroad/Mission Trip

Hi everyone! My name is Kelsey Newton, and I will be entering my senior year of nursing at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in the spring. I am very excited to announce that I was recently selected by the College of Nursing to travel to Peru for a medical mission trip this summer! Getting selected for this opportunity included a competitive application process, so I am honored to have been chosen to represent the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor College of Nursing as we serve the people of Peru! This is a unique and valuable opportunity that will provide me with the opportunity to share God’s love with others while also providing them with medical care and education. We will be partnering with Kids at the Crossroads and Threads of Hope to go visit hospitals and rural clinics, work with special needs children, and provide health teaching and care to people in need. I obtain a deep satisfaction when I get the opportunity to make a difference, and this experience will bless me with the opportunity to do so.

I am so excited for this opportunity to give back and provide medical assistance to those in need. However, with a trip like this comes lots of expenses and that is where I need your help! With my airfare, passport, and other related travel expenses, the cost of the trip will be approximately $3500. I hope you consider donating to this worthy cause, as you will not only be helping me, but you will also be helping those in Peru as well!
