Alex's Peru Adventure - Summer 2020

I am looking to raise money to help fund my trip to Peru in summer 2020.

The trip is run by the Camps International group who help provide support and development to some of the most under privileged children and
communities in the world.

The expedition offers huge variety and opportunities for adventure. I'll experience desert, deep canyons, the vast expanses of the Altiplano and life at 3800m above sea level at Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake!

I'll spend time and support some of the most ancient civilizations on earth, The Quechua and the Aymara people. Witnessing the local traditions of these people is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.
I'll even trek the Salkantay trail to reach the Incan ruins of Machu Picchu, one of the world’s most famous landmark.

The communities we'll visit will be very diverse but the aim of the project work is to improve their standard of living.

Projects could be improving school facilities, building greenhouses (malnutrition is widespread), improving sanitation facilities and tourism
development. In addition to the community projects, I will also get involved in environmental reforestation projects that address habitat destruction
in Peru.
