Write the vision; make it plain.
A wise friend told me, vision must be personal, emotional and relational. He said no matter how lofty, my vision has to touch someone else besides me. But more than a touch, I want my vision to breath--outside of myself and through others.
Over the last several years, I've learned, the vision I am carrying will be too big to produce on my own. Despite knowing this, daily, I put my best foot forward to give it a shot. But while I continue to do my best to keep moving forward, to realize the vision, I know, I cannot do it all.
And if I allow myself to see the lack of resources as an issue, it will become a STOP sign. Therefore I decide not to be stopped, but to appeal to my community.
As you may (or may not) know, I am working diligently to publish book number two! My desire is to release "Water in My Wine" in January. This book is a poetic sequel to book number one: After the Affair, Re-Membering. Book number one was birthed as a direct result of endurance and a whole lot of faith. After the Affair remains my honest offering to women to speak directly to the heart of our matters. Matters that we hold inside because we are more readily taught patterns of shame, guilt and insecurity, rather than self love, confidence and liberty to be women becoming. After coming out of my ordeal, whole and well, I felt compelled to create a ripple effect in our narratives. Rewriting the narratives begins with me but they end with us.
While I have already accomplished major tasks to meet the goal of releasing Water in My Wine, there are still some beyond my reach. This is where you come in!
Your support and generosity enables me to stay on task and on schedule. But your donation doesn't just help me to cover publishing and printing costs, it fuels me to realize the bigger vision--to establish an independent, woman-owned publishing company with the mission of sharing the untraditional--untold stories women carry.
Journal Journey LLC is the stepping stone to leaving a legacy. My books are a product of the vision. The legacy began with me liberating my own story. The legacy lives when other women are given the opportunity to share life experiences and wisdom freely. It is my mission to encourage courage and support women who find the will to give away their story. I invite you to contribute to my cause and invest in my vision.
