or LIP is a Permanent Sustainable Scalable Solution for Refugees and Immigrants all over the World. LIP will feed, house, take care of, and help people LEGALLY and safely immigrate. As climate change adds to the refugee population, we need real solutions.
The Life Independence Project takes direct aim at solving these humanitarian crises as well as give the refugees a hopeful, healthy path forward to a new productive life in their new chosen country - as a contributor, not a liability.
Our Philosophy - There are no useless people
We believe the problems associated with refugees and migration have direct and achievable answers. These answers reflect human compassion and dignity.
We are currently working with the United Nations and Peace Corps to make sure we get these communities built where there is the greatest need.
My name is Wen Boley. My team and I are committed to making the first LIP Refugee Community as quickly as possible.
The LIP system speaks to each individual immigrant, in their own language, through an automated conversational smart phone app.
LIP guides people to food and safe shelter. It makes sure they get medical attention if they need it.
Through respectful and entertaining conversation, LIP gathers detailed information needed to fill out their immigration forms and files them with the immigration authorities, sets their appointments, and makes sure they get there on time.
LIP treats everyone exactly the same. It handles families as a unit and keeps them together, with tools for the parents to keep track of their kids.
As part of a LIP community, all adults agree to do a few hours of work each day. Instead of detaining able-bodied adults in cages where they are not allowed to do anything, they become part of their own solution giving them the satisfaction of taking care of themselves guided by the LIP system.
Every task that needs to be done in order to maintain and grow the community, and step by step instruction with video of exactly how to do each task, are contained inside the LIP system.
One task at a time, LIP instructs each person in the community with the next thing that needs to be done. Through this methodology, buildings will be built, food will be grown, food will be prepared, children will be cared for, soccer games will be organized, flowers will be planted, skills will be taught, and new immigrants will be greeted and brought into the community. Yes, all done by the immigrants while they wait to be processed.
If someone doesn't know how to do a task, LIP gives them step by step instructions, accompanied by video, of precisely how to do the task. No one is ever expected to do something they are not able to do. If they are doing a task and get stuck, LIP will get them help to complete it.
LIP only uses positive reinforcement and encouragement. As it is automated, it is the most patient guidance for how to do things. We do anticipate an incredible amount of learning and tweaking as the system grows, and your contributions will help sustain us through the challenges that inevitably will cross our path.
LIP does not use artificial intelligence. The learning is done by LIP's infrastructure administrators who program the solutions into the system. All questions, conversations, and responses are pre-determined by LIP infrastructure team and delivered by specifically designed interactive software.

The Money
Funds will be collected by the Friye Foundation which will manage all financial and non-financial donations.
Funds will be used for:
Designers to design the LIP community’s technical infrastructure, devices, buildings, common areas, and residences.
Work with Friye programmers to create the modifications needed to facilitate the needs of the LIP system and the people it serves.
Initiate and promote an "Intern" program to coordinate the creation of the LIP content needed to build and run a LIP community near the USA/Mexico border.
Food, tents, and necessities to accommodate the Interns for the time they are creating and testing the LIP content.
Negotiations with the US and Mexico for cooperation with the program.
Development, Organizational and Administrative expenses.
Press releases and social media promotions.
Scalability
LIP coordinates, through smart phones, building and maintaining a community that could include 10 people or a million with a precision and a consistency that was not possible until recent technological advancements. With the way LIP handles its tasks, more people just means that things get done faster.
Because LIP is standardized, it never discriminates and everyone is treated equally. Because it is automated, nothing and no one ever slips through the cracks.
A mother dreams of a place where her daughters would not be raped. I don't think this is too much to ask.
We intend it to serve the South American refugees coming to the USA as soon as possible. It is our intention to put it in the USA near the US/Mexico border, but we are prepared to put in in Mexico if we have any governmental challenges.
The LIP system takes care of the needs of immigrants and refugees in a way that honors their way of life, and their rights as human beings while costing as little as possible to the taxpayers and enhancing, not disrupting the normal lives of the people in the country they are migrating to.
We intend to increase the “welcome” quotient for immigrants all over the world. Immigrating into a country through the LIP system, they start out as contributors to the society they want to join while they learn how to be a good member of that country.
Once we have created the first LIP Refugee Community near the USA/Mexican border, we intend to use the same method to create LIP Refugee Communities all over the world. There are 70 Million displaced people currently in the world of which 35 million seeking assylum.

BIGGEST QUESTION WE GET -
Why don't we use this for our citizens that are in need?
This is absolutely valid, and we wholeheartedly agree.
This campaign is focused on relief for Refugees and Immigrants. We are well aware this methodology is appropriate and even needed in many other situations. We intent to simultaneously commence the creation of LIP Communities near metropolitan areas which can act as support organizations for the homeless as well as anyone who has setbacks and needs some time to get on their feet.
We believe the mere existence and availability of these communities can have considerable positive change in the cities they serve. Just knowing there is some place to go where you will not be turned away, and where you, without risk, can go there when and if you ever need to.
Imagine a woman and her 2 children that stay with an alcoholic husband because she has no other choice. If she leaves with them, they'll all be homeless without any income. She lives in a constant state of oppression and likely becomes depressed. If she knew there was a place like a LIP Community, she would most likely not hesitate to leave that abusive situation. On the flipside, the knowledge that a LIP community exists gives the wife of an abusive man publicly known leverage which, perhaps encourages him to behave himself a bit more.
Veteran Communities are also on the horizon. In the near future, we'll be working with Veterans to create the perfect community that supports their needs. Veterans are quite skilled and have many ways they can help even if they are disabled. Remember, there are no useless people. Just because a soldier is finished with the combat part of their life doesn't mean they are finished contributing to society. They deserves a high standard of living, the chance to continue to contribute, and involvement with what happens to them in their future.
There are a thousand more benefits LIP brings us that we will be discussing as this project evolves.
