Arkansas Period Poverty Project

1 in 5 young women in the United States miss school because they cannot afford feminine hygiene products. After reading about period poverty, I knew I had to do something. I reached out to public school administrators in my community of Little Rock and North Little Rock and discovered that period poverty is an issue in my own back yard. I reached out to companies like Kotex, Always, Cora, and Lola, but they said they wouldn't be able to donate products. That is why I created a Go Fund me account. I am raising money for the hundred of girls in the Little Rock school district who miss school each year because these products are not covered under SNAP/WIC/MedicAid.
