Greeting, beautiful people.
this is Nana Miki. I'm a dancer living in New York.
My brand-new performance show, "Ethereal" at t Shapeshifter Lab in Brooklyn, NY (https://shapeshifterlab.com) , it’a new dance performance about female friendships, solo dance presents a story of two different worlds that wish to connect with eachother, yet they are not able to achieve that.
Please allow me to introduce myself.
16 years ago, I moved to America alone without any connections and without speaking any English whatsoever.
I suffered, worried, cried, and really struggled just to get by.
It was all an intense world for me, so much so that I couldn't possibly fit everything into a single phrase like "I had my ups and downs."
Still, I somehow or another have continued to be involved in dancing for 33 years.
For a time, I was unable to trust anyone. I couldn't even believe in myself.
But I think that as found myself more and more alone, what I was really hoping for was to connect with someone somewhere.
If pressed as to what I can do now to help others who might be in that position, I arrive at the conclusion that all I can do is keep on dancing.
When I voiced my desire to express while I still can the tapestry of my experiences as someone who knows nothing but the dancing world, DJ MEGU and food artist Commy reached out and gave me their loving support.
"You've got this," they said.
I wasn't just soothed by these words; I was inspired. Before I knew it, I had made it to where I am now.
In October, I will express all of my 33-year dancing career on stage in a performance event titled "Ethereal."
Producing this performance show from scratch is expensive. I’m asking for your help to raise $2,000 to bring this show to create with me. Every dollar counts and a variety of expenses, like stage rental fees, payments for everyone involved that day, equipment, props, rental fees for the rehearsal space, and transportation. No amount is too small, and your support means everything to me.

私の最新のパフォーマンス・ダンスイベント「Ethereal―儚―」「明けの明星」をテーマに表現したふたつの「ふれあいたいのにふれあえない世界」物語をブルックリンのShapeshifter Labで公演します。(https://shapeshifterlab.com)
少し私のことを紹介させてください。
なんのコネクションもないところから、全く英語も話せないのにアメリカへ単身で降り立って、16年。たくさん苦しんで、悔しんで、泣いて、本当にギリギリの生活でした。 「色んな事があった」という言葉は、あまりにもコンパクトすぎるくらい、私にとっては「壮絶な世界」でした。
そうやって、踊ることと関わり続けて33年になります。 一時は誰も信じることができず、自分すらも信じる事ができなくなりました。 でも、本当は、ヒトリになればなるほど「どこかで誰かと繋がりたい」…と願っていたのだと思います。 今の自分に何ができるのかを突き詰めて結論づけると、やはり、踊り続ける事しかないのです。
その「踊りの世界」しか知らない私が「幾重にも重なった自分の経験を、生きている間に表現したい」…と欲して、それを声に出した時、大きな愛でサポートしてくれたのは、DJ・MEGu & ごはんアーティスト・Conmyでした。 「いいんだよ」 このコトバにとても癒されたとともに、鼓舞されて、気がつけばここまで辿りつかせてくれました。
10月、ここまでの芸歴33年の経験を、すべて「Ethereal―儚―」を通じて舞台で表現します。
このパフォーマンスショーを最初から作成するのは費用がかかります。 私は、このショーを一緒に作るために2,000ドルを集めるために皆さんの助けを求めています。
舞台のレンタル代、当日にお助けいただく方々へ、機器、小道具、機材費、衣装費、小道具代、リハーサルスペースのレンタル代、当日の搬入＋搬出に…と、さまざまな費用がかかります。 1ドルからおいくらでも助かります。あなたのサポートは私にとってすべてを意味します。
