Penny's Freedom

My daughter, Penny, needs a new wheelchair. She needs one that she can propel herself to give her more independence. She is in so much pain as many of her joints, and in particular her hips, sublux (partial dislocations) daily. This is aggravated by walking and is hindering her day-to-day life.

Penny currently has a very cheap, basic and heavy wheelchair. This is ok for very short periods of time when somebody else is there to push. Penny can’t manage to get around by herself in this chair. It doesn’t support her body and is far too heavy for her to push herself. The NHS won't help as Penny can manage without a chair in the house.

Penny has been accepted to Uni to begin her Master’s Degree in September. She is only going to be able to accept this position if she gets a new chair. Please help her to achieve this by donating and/or sharing this page. Thank you.
