Phoenix Rising (Dr. Penny Elliott)

Larkspur Landing Vet's very own Dr. Penny Elliott lost her home and all of her possessions to the Tubbs fire in the early hours of October 9th, 2017. She was fortunate to escape the fire with her husband, their dog, and the clothes on their backs. Let's get together as a community to help her and her family rebuild all that they lost.

A message from Dr. Elliott:
On October 9 our lives changed forever. My husband and I literally ran for our lives in the middle of the night as a wall of fire came bearing down on our home.
We designed and built this house ourselves just a few years ago. It is nothing but ashes now but we are determined to rebuild it and the rest or our community. We are staying with family in Oakland now as we slowly put our lives back together. Any contribution helps. We are grateful for the generosity of our community.

A message from Dr. McDermott, DVM (organizer):
I am a veterinarian at Larkspur Landing Vet Hospital. I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Elliott for 3 years. Dr. Elliott is not only a wonderful veterinarian, she is a lovely, caring, and generous person. Because of the devastating fires, she and her husband face a large financial burden. The funds raised here will help them pay for essential items they need now (clothing, food, personal items), legal fees necessary to deal with insurance, other fees related to lost documents, and eventually replacement household items and building expenses that are not covered by insurance. 100% of the funds raised here will go directly to Dr. Elliott and her husband.
