Pennies from Heaven - The Vervilles

Donation protected
Have you ever woke up in a “tough place in time” but still decided to smile, thank God you’re alive and feel grateful for your blessings, no matter how small?

Have you ever been faced with so much physically, mentally and financially that the only sensible thing for you to do would seem to be to give up and give in, but decide to fight forward anyways?

Carol and David Verville have done just that.

Carol, currently fighting stage 4 inflammatory breast cancer that metastasized to her thyroid and David, battling with severe COPD and other health complications, still wake up every morning, thank God for being on the right side of the ground and fight forward to see another day.

They do this regardless of the fact they are both physically limited, financially in the red with medical bills and have no income due to the inability to continue to work.

They choose to fight even though their bodies beg otherwise. They choose to be thankful and humble, even though paying a utility bill or getting basic groceries and necessary prescriptions are a struggle and sometimes impossible.

For those of you who know this couple know they would never approve of this campaign, which is why we are doing this without permission as their children who love them, see they are in need and are humbly asking our friends and family for any help they can provide.

The list of needs is long for these two but physical and financial restraints prevent them from being able to address them.

Carols vehicle is over 300k miles and barely moving with several repairs needed. David’s vehicle recently just blew a coolant line and can’t be driven until repaired. Their home while has been home to them and their three children for over 30 years is deteriorating quickly, needing a new roof, leak and mold mitigation, new septic and well systems and structural repairs.

As mentioned these two have opened their home to so many over the years, allowing 6 other children who were displaced from their families for various reasons over time, live with them and made their house a home for those in need.

This couple has literally given the shirts off their backs for others in need, taking less for themselves so that others could have a bit more.

They’d never ask for help. In fact, when suggested they do so, they humbly point out that there are others in worse situations than them.

But again, we are hosting this campaign without permission. As their children, we know they need help and are asking those of you who have taken the time to read this or those of you whoever got a little help from someone before when the chips were down, to pay it forward.

Please consider donating any amount to this couple and their needs. Any amount will be a blessing more than they have now and will go to good use: hospital bills, prescription costs, utilities, heating fuel and home and auto repairs.

We are humbly and graciously asking for a “hand up, not a hand out” for our parents.

Thank you for your time and donations. God bless.
