Penn Playmakers AAU Freshman Team

The Penn Playmakers 9th Grade team has been invited to play in the 2019 Adidas Gold Gauntlet Series Finale in Ladera Ranch, California July 18th-20.

This comes after the team went 4-1 in Stoughton,Massachusetts April 12-14 winning the Adidas Silver Gauntlet qualifier.

We are 1 of only 16 9th grade teams in the United States & Canada to qualify for this tournament.

The projected top-two picks in this years NBA Draft, Zion Williamson & Ja Morant are both Gauntlet alumni.

NBA stars James Harden,Zach Lavine,Dame Lilliard,Marcus Smart,Chauncey Billups,John Wall & Dante Exum all have teams participating.

We are an organization made up of parents,friends and community members who at times find it difficult to find gym time, we now have the chance to compete against programs who are fueled by pros all while being in front of top college coaches across the nation.

With this opportunity and adventure there comes costs. To help a small time program found in the city of Reading compete against powerhouses across the globe, you can make any contribution here. Any assistance in our journey will be greatly appreciated. We will also have multiple other fundraising opportunities within the month.

The Penn Playmakers could use some help with the travel costs, hotel rooms and also to get some food for the kids after the games.  With any contributions, the Playmakers will be able to work toward their goal of going on a magical journey this year with the camera rolling to see all of the behind the scenes action. 

As as you can see the Penn Playmakers are 501c3  charitable donation confirmed, which means any donation you may make will give you a chance to write off on your taxes at the end of the year with the tax receipt provided. Thank you so much and we hope to have inspired many youth around the area.
