Penn Group for Islington Veterans

Help us raise funds for the Islington Veterans' Association - we aim to raise £1,250. We pledge to pay that money to the charity. Any sponsorship in excess of £1,250 will, of course, benefit the association entirely, 100%. Please help us support the veterans. 

The Islington Veterans' Association is a community organisation that promotes camaraderie and seeks to provide help for veterans and ex-servicemen across Islington. Membership is open to all who have served in the Armed Forces, the emergency services, Merchant Navy & Prison service & their families and anyone associated with the Borough who seeks to further the aims of the Association, whether they have a military background or not.

The Veterans' Association is instrumental in organising the annual Remembrance Day Acts of Remembrance and Parades in Islington, Armed Forces Day and associated events and other occasional commemorations which happen in the Borough and is closely involved with the Borough on issues affecting the welfare of all veterans.

The Association also maintains a strong social calendar with monthly meetings of the Association in Islington Town Hall, The Association organise trips around the country (which have included visits to such places as the National Memorial Arboretum and the Air Force Museum at Hendon), dinners and other social events, and takes part in various Borough events promoting the Association.
