The price of 2 School Notebooks is worth Half of the Monthly Minimum Wage in Lebanon. A Pencil is now a luxury. Vulnerable families can not buy notebooks and pencils for their kids.
Chanta is a Campaign for Ana Aqra ( https://ana-aqra.org ), a Lebanese registered NGO, to raise funds, buy and distribute school bags full of stationery items to students in Lebanese public schools.
Ana Aqra is directly connected with 20 public schools with a potential to distribute stationery to 10,000 students. The association is committed for buying the supplies and directly catering the school bags to the students.
We succeeded in obtaining low prices from a local supplier to assemble school bags full of stationery. The bag costs 48.137 USD excluding Gofundme fees.
Including the fees and conversion rates One Bag 50 USD = 45 EUR = 40 GBP
With 25,000 USD We reach out to 500 Students, 50,000 USD 1,000 Students... The School Year starts on the 28th of September. Help us support Lebanese Public School Students Stationery and Donate Stationery Bag.
