Women’s Health issues are pretty taboo topics. They seem to be things we’ve always known to be true because they were so common- yet no one talked about them. For example, after giving birth every woman assumes that “it’s never going to be the same down there”— but what does that even mean? Or women of “a certain age” assumes that Kotex will be traded for Depends —but who said it has to be that way.
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy is a specialized service focused on the conditions of the bowel, bladder, and reproduction system.
That may look like treating the new urine leakage you have when picking up your newborn. It may be addressing looseness or pain you feel after giving birth and now attempting sex with your partner. Maybe you haven’t made it that far and sex is impossible because of pain— it helps there too. It’s a specialized but broad range meant to cater to the broad range of symptoms we as women experience.
Research discovered that on average women wait 6.5 years to seek help for pelvic floor dysfunction! How much of the wait is not knowing the services exist? How much of the wait is not being able to afford the services?
This scholarship fund was created for those who cannot afford pelvic floor physical therapy!
Everyone deserves treatment.
If you know someone who may need services but cannot afford them please send their contact info to:
Be sure to include their name, phone number and email address. We’ll do the rest!
Every $350 affords one person with AT LEAST ONE FULL MONTH OF SERVICES.
