Peloton for The Imhoff’s

https://m.facebook.com/ReeseIsABeast/
The Imhoff family have just lost their son Reese after a long and hard battle against cancer. As a neighbor I knew I wanted to do something but couldn’t think of how to help.  During my ride on my Peloton bike this morning I couldn’t get this family out of my mind.  Then it hit me. This family needs something for them, something therapeutic and releasing, an escape. This may seem like an odd gift to give but my Peloton provides me with just that...an escape and a sort of private therapy and I’m sure Christy needs an escape right now! If you have a Peloton then you know exactly how perfect it would be for this amazing Mom who has poured her all into fighting and who is now left devastated.  Please help me so I can surprise her and this family with a Peloton.

It’s with great sorrow to let you know that Reese passed away last night with lung and heart failure.

He had a treatment on Friday and had an adverse effect which closed up his lungs and throat. We called 911 and was rushed to CHOC Mission where he was stabilized then transported him to CHOC’s Intensive Care Unit.

It was there where the nurses and doctors did everything they could to counteract the effects of the therapy he had earlier in the day. And like the last three years, Reese worked so hard for the past two days to fight for his life, but ultimately his body just couldn’t take it anymore.

Thankfully we were able to say our good byes before he went to heaven and we are comforted knowing he’s no longer suffering. He last words for us were “I love you guys so much!” We love you too Reese…more than you know. We are grateful for every moment of your life and how much joy you brought to our family. We will never be complete again and love you forever.

As for all of you, we will be eternally grateful for your love and prayers and generosity for the past three years. You never gave up and that gave us the energy to keep pushing and breaking down barriers for this disease.

We need your prayers more than ever and ask these of you:

PLEASE PRAY that Reese is comforted in heaven.

PLEASE PRAY for Max's heart and resilience through this time.

PLEASE PRAY for our endurance for the remainder of time as our family has changed forever.

We will keep you posted on memorial services later this week. And for those of you who’ve never met us, but prayed even one prayer for Reese over the years, we would love for you to join in remembering Reese with us.

God bless you all!
