Olá, somos a Sandra e o Tiago,pais do menino que precisa da vossa ajuda. 
 
Partilhámos convosco, a nova realidade do Dudu e desta família de 5, a partir do dia 1 de Dezembro de 2024. O Duarte até aos seus 15 anos,foi sempre um menino cheio de saúde, de vida e com objetivos muito bem definidos. 
 
No dia 1 Dez 2024, o Duarte e o pai foram à urgência,pela 3° vez, no espaço de 2 semanas, com queixas por vómitos e dores de cabeça incapacitantes. Depois de uma bateria de exames, somos encaminhamos para o HS João, directamente para os Cuidados Intensivos Pediatricos, lá permaneceu 26 dias. 
 
A meio deste percurso, recebemos o Diagnóstico- Meningoencefalite Herpetica- com sequelas comportamentais, cognitivas e de memória. 

Neste momento, chegamos aqui, precisamente porque, o Duarte foi desde sempre um miúdo valente e destemido e aguentou-se. 
 
Passada a fase " saving life", estivemos internados no CRN, onde a resposta para a recuperação do Duarte, simplesmente não existiu... 
 
Estivemos internados durante 7 longos meses e, finalmente chegou a hora de regressar a casa e encontrarmos uma nova normalidade. 
 
Infelizmente, a resposta no SNS é quase nula e morosa e, enquanto pais, não podemos esperar. É preciso agir já!! 
 
Criamos este apelo para conseguirmos dar ao nosso filho a melhor das hipóteses de recuperação. O Duarte precisa de muita reabilitação, e de todo o tipo de terapias para estimular tanto o corpo como o cérebro. 
 
Desde a alta, já está integrado num programa de reabilitação, programa esse que decorrerá nos próximos 2 anos. 
 
O programa de reabilitação do Duarte para estes 2 anos, está orçamentado em €46 000.
