Peggy's battle with breast cancer

Update 2022
A note from Peggys family.

I come to our friends once again to update you on Peggy's progress. She has been fighting this battle for 6 years without ever giving up or being given a moment of remission. She has been very ill and unable to work since spring. Her husband is on medical leave without benefits for a total hip replacement. She has spent much of the last month and a half in the hospital more than out. As a family we have watched her go from being a force to using a cane and a walker with home oxygen. The most recent stay at the hospital was full of chemo, radiation, blood transfusions and great pain the continues. We celebrate today that she is home for a while! Jim and Peggy have nearly wiped out their savings. They have gone from 2 incomes to nothing. The hospital bills, medications, and supplies are mounting higher and higher. At the same time the mortgage, utilities, grocery bills and supplies needed to barely keep a family going are mounting. It is once again I ask you for help.

My sister Peggy Eddy is facing the battle against Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. She has undergone several different treatments over the last few years. The initial treatments that would have given her the longest outlook failed. She is now forced to have chemo that is harsh and makes her very sick. The long-term outlook is bleak. The treatments although they are life giving against this awful disease, have rendered Peggy unable to continue with her daycare business. It has been over a year now since the closing of her daycare. The financial toll has been catastrophic. Without Peggy’s income from the daycare her family has suffered financially. Now they are facing the loss of their family home due to these circumstances.
Peggy struggles to meet her monthly bills, provide food, clothing, shoes, and all basic needs for her children.
Peggy is a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend to so many people in this community. She continues to be an avid member at Central United Methodist Church where she is much loved by her church family. She has a husband, Jim, who has stood by her through this difficult time and tried to make up for her financially by taking many extra shifts at his job. Her son Austin will be starting his senior year at FSHS and her daughter Abby will be entering the 4th grade at Jayenne elementary.
I hope that we can help Peggy and her family at this difficult time. Thank you for reading and donating, every little bit helps!
