Hello. My name is Ede Rose. I am the daughter of Peggy Rose. Peggy unexpectedly passed away on July 18, 2020, surrounded by loved ones.
Peggy leaves behind two loving children and grand children.
It is with a heavy heart that I come to our friends, family and colleagues for financial support for final funeral arrangements.
Peggy influenced many students at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) as the Associate Director of the Educational Opportunity Programs (EOP) for twenty five years. As an Academic Advisor and mother figure to numerous students, Peggy embraced all challenges with grace.
Peggy’s academic recommendations contributed to multiple graduates, her passion for UC student recruitment and retention became embedded in her DNA. She constantly shared the advantages of the UC educational system and demanded excellence from her students.
Peggy’s programs for University of California, Santa Cruz, EOP were well known for innovation, empowerment, restarting intellect and uplifting souls. Her talent, gifts and life can forever be remembered with love and continued education.
This tragic loss has brought unexpected time constraints for unplanned expenses.
Our family is in urgent need of finances for her funeral services, final arrangements and expenses. Your assistance in this delicate crises is very much needed and appreciated.
