Peggy Clark Lumpkins Cancer Care Fund

Donation protected
My Mother, my friend, Peggy Clark Lumpkins, was diagnosed with cancer this October, right in the middle of her art show season.
Because she's had to miss several shows due to two operations, and due to its effect on her immune system and the ongoing pandemic she'll have to miss several more while she undergoes chemotherapy.

On top of that, her insurance is not terribly good, and the deductible is very high.

My parents are going to need a little more help than I can give them to get through this.

You can help support her fight by buying her original artwork at www.peggyclarklumpkins.com
Her prints and cards are available at https://colorafootpress.com/
You can also help by donating to this fundraiser.

Peggy is a Maine painter, working in oils, her lifelong love letter to being alive. All of her work features the natural world, from big flower portraits to iconic views of Maine’s beautiful places.

She is an independent artist, foregoing gallery connections for personal ones with her buyers themselves. Her main source of income comes from Art Shows around the state of Maine, which she has had to cancel since Oct. 1 when cancer made itself known. Her loss of income combined with a high medical deductible (which she has to meet twice since it starts up again in January 2022) has left her in a financial crisis.

Peggy has Stage 4 Fallopian Tube Cancer. She is in great health otherwise, and after two surgeries she is about to begin chemotherapy. She believes this is a bump in the road of her life that stretches out beyond this bump for years. She has a great medical team down in Scarborough, Maine, and she has her lifetime love Winston Lumpkins III at her side through all of this.  Of course, this means he has less income from unpaid days off to stick by her. It's very stressful to be on such thin ice health wise and financially at the same time.

We estimate the costs of this crisis to be approximately as follows:
Deductible for 2021: $8,500
Deductible for 2022: $8,500
Lost income: Approximately $20,000.

That's $37,000, but we think if we were able to raise $30,000 is would likely be ok, wholesale orders and individual sales continue to trickle into her website, though nothing close to the 4 shows that she has missed.

Hopefully you will be able to see Peggy and her work at all the best art shows in Maine in 2022. In the meantime, any help you're able to give, in the form of a donation, buying some of her prints or original art & or sharing this fundraiser would be much appreciated, and would lessen the toll that stress plays in all this.

Thank you to those who can, we understand very well that not everyone can.
