Peggee's Breast Cancer Fund

Friends... we have a friend in need. Peggee Reser needs our help. The problem: she needs a bi-lateral (double) mastectomy that will take place on December 17th, and she will require follow-up surgeries and month(s) of treatments as directed by her oncologist to ensure she can have a long and healthy life afterwards. She does not have another to support her, or any savings money or PTO days available to make it through her recovery. Although she has company's health insurance and STD, she will have several out-of-pocket expenses in addition to pay alongside her high deductibles, that will prevent her from paying her expenses. She would greatly benefit from some extra funds as a cushion so that she can feel financially stable enough to take a day off here and there as she needs to fully recover. No to mention each visit to the Doctor's office entails a fee. The initial fundraising goal is an estimate of what Peggee's deductible/out-of-pocket insurance costs will be for the duration of her cancer treatments and two months’ worth of income. This estimate does not include any additional expenses not covered by her insurance.
If you know Peggee, she usually she has a bake sale to earn extra money to handle expenses, but now she doesn't have the time. To those who don't know Peggee, she is a strong hard-working woman, living on her own, with her faithful loving friend, Yogi Angelo (her dog). She will give you the shirt off her back to help you but is not comfortable asking or accepting help.
As you can image and with December 17th only a few days away, there are numerous Doctor appointments, Social Worker appointments, among all the other notifications she needs to complete, eating away her PTO. She still tries to keep up the 40 hour week. The emotional roller coaster ride, in itself, is overwhelming. Then there is the post-surgery... she will need time to heal, to adjust accordingly to accommodate her follow-up treatments and take some time off for recovery.
That is why we are asking to raise money for her, so that she has the time to heal without worrying about finances and so that all medical bills could be covered.
If you can help, Please consider these suggestions:
1). Please go to her Go Fund Me page and donate anything you can. With the holidays coming up it is certainly a busy (and expensive) time of year. But if you are able to contribute toward Peggee’s already-mounting expenses to treat her cancer, she will be incredibly grateful. Any amount is most certainly helpful and very much appreciated. Even small donations ($5, $25, nothing is too small!) can help Peggee take time off without stress when she has a treatment, a surgery, or simply needs to rest and recover. She is facing a frightening (and expensive) process to save her life, along with a global pandemic that is adding many curve balls to an already complicated and precarious treatment process.
2). Or go to Meal Train.com and pick a date and time to provide a lunch or dinner for her. By providing her a meal, that's less exertion and pain she would have to endure in making her own meals. mealtrain.com simplifies the organization of meal giving around significant life events. They strive to simplify and promote interpersonal relationships between friends, families, and neighbors through meals. Pick a day, a meal time and deliver it or purchase a digital gift cards for Grubhub, DoorDash, restaurants, and more.
3). SHARE SHARE SHARE this message among your Facebook pages, Instagrams, etc. to anyone or everyone. Tell them to SHARE SHARE SHARE the message.
4). Send Reiki, Prayers, Healing, Strength and Energy to her, as many times as you can.
5). Set up a Facebook page of "Positive Thoughts for Peggee" and put Good JuJu Vibes on it to give her encouragement.
This is a hard and long battle but together we can help her get through this.
