PeeWeeToms Cancer & Research Fund

*** UPDATE ***

Please see the updates section. Due to me having Chemotherapy now and targeted treatment and waiting on endless results for DNA testing, Tumour Testing and the likes. The campaign has now been switched off as nothing further can be done until we know the results of these things. It has always been about research and learning, if this does not work I will look at where we go next.

Thank you everyone for your support so far.

Much Love,

Dan

Hi, my name is Dan, also known as . I was named PeeWeeToms by some friends back in 2010 as I tended to act a bit like PeeWee Herman. I also did the laugh all the time to annoy people.

Your asking why a Go Fund Me page? Well I have a rare form of Cancer, a Sarcomatoid Carcinoma. A Pleomorphic Sarcomatoid Carcinoma as of  March 2018 this is now classed as terminal. I will not accept that and want to fight for my life.

It's hella rare, to my knowledge not many people have managed to survive the sub type I have much longer than a year let alone hit 3 years like I have.

Thispic was May 2017 a few weeks after I had the exact same surgery as it grew back so fast.

My original surgery was done in June 2015 and was to remove what I thought was an infected wound. It wasn't and I was told I would need just a 10cm incision to sort it. Turns out that became 28cm and restricted my movement some what and took 6 months to heal.

So far I have had 6 procedures to remove cancerous tissue from my back, left axilla and I am soon to have my lymphnodes removed along with the other cheeky tumor that's grown.

Recently I started vlogging on YouTube and I started my first video with what I called a LumpDate, I found a lump and that lump turned out to be a reccurance. 3 months later and with a surgery to remove said lump I am here awaiting surgery again to remove a 3.5cm tumor and some lymphnodes as it has metasized.

Yeah I used a drawstring shoelace to hold on my bottle. Genius I thought... The prognosis for me doesn't look great but!!! There is a big Kim K but here! I have been starting to outlet my feelings to the world via YouTube on my channel  PeeWeeToms ‌.

I have been using this channel to try raise awareness for cancer and to try and inspire others. I am trying now to get other's stories and share others points of view on cancer and other problems via the community I am building. http://community.peeweetoms.com

I can't afford to travel or treat myself as I do not get benefits or earn from anything I do, but what would bring me great joy would be to travel to meet other people, be an advocate for joy and bring some light and love to others.

Whether that is taking a day trip to meet someone who is terminally ill, or someone who needs support in the early stages of diagnosis, or to see how we maybe able to help people with this problem that is cancer.

I would love to be able to do this fulltime if I end up well enough and make some peoples small wishes come true. As well as mine, I would love to document the entire thing in the hope that people don't feel so alone.

Cancer is an expensive hobby and getting treatment and researching treatment can cost a fortune and I don't have that kind of money. I wish I did but I don't so every bit helps and I never thought I would do this but needs must.

I have found out today 8th March that I have been accepted for treatment at one of the world's learning hospitals, who are going to try research and learn from me to hopefully save lives in the future.

I have upped the target as I now need urgent treatment and travel and accommodation is not going to be cheap but it could potentially save my life and I certainly can't afford it. My first appointment is next week 15th March, this could be the start of some actual progress of getting this type of cancer cured and knowing more to save lives.

I have had surgery to remove my lumphnodes, tumours in my left axilla and back. The surgery was huge, absolutely huge! I posted a picture here: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bg4LP-DBiOS

I am now in recovery from that, we will have my DNA sequenced now form the tumours and me, for specialists so as more research can begin.
