Peter’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kristina and this sweet guy is Peter! My cousin and I found Peter on Easter Sunday, he was roaming around our farm all day. While we were doing our annual egg hunt, we were able to get close to him and see he was super skinny and had a wound on his side. He was super friendly and let us pick him up and take him inside. We decided to take him to the ER vet, where we found out he weights a whopping 6 lbs and is approximately 1 year old. We originally thought his wound would be a minor fix but it turned out Peter had a puncture wound that went through his abdominal cavity and it required surgery. We were so torn with what to do, since the vets said it’s such a hard spot it could be really bad if they went in there and other organs were also damaged. After a lot of consideration and many talks with the medical staff, we decided to give Peter a chance and to go for it. Luck was on Peters side! He made it through the surgery and got stitched up and now is in recovery. He is the sweetest cat, all he wants to do is sit in your lap and snuggle in and take a nap. He is such a fighter and we are so happy that he walked into our lives so we could help save him. If you would like to make a donation for Peter’s surgery we would appreciate anything anyone would be willing to give. He really is such a special and loving cat! He definitely deserves a better future.
