Am 8. April kam es in Köln zu einem Polizeieinsatz, nachdem unser Freund Pedro Corona sich in einem schweren psychischen Ausnahmezustand befand und seine Freunde sowie seine Familie dringend ärztliche und medizinische Hilfe organisiert hatten.

Im Verlauf dieses Einsatzes wurde auch die Polizei hinzugezogen. Was als Versuch begann, Pedro in einer akuten Krisensituation zu helfen, entwickelte sich zu einem massiven Polizeieinsatz, in dessen Folge sich sein zuvor körperlich nicht prekärer Gesundheitszustand dramatisch verschlechterte.

Pedro befindet sich seitdem in einem lebensgefährlichen Zustand auf der Intensivstation der Uniklinik Köln.

Nach unserer bisherigen Einschätzung und dem derzeitigen Kenntnisstand besteht der ernsthafte Verdacht, dass diese massive Verschlechterung auf einen exzessiven Gewalteinsatz seitens der eingesetzten Polizeibeamten zurückzuführen sein könnte. Uns ist dabei sehr wichtig klarzustellen: Wir wünschen keine vorschnelle Vorverurteilung der beteiligten Polizistinnen und Polizisten. Wir vertrauen auf den Rechtsstaat und setzen auf eine sorgfältige, objektive und transparente Aufklärung aller Umstände.

Gerade weil vieles noch aufgeklärt werden muss, halten wir eine kritische rechtliche und tatsächliche Aufarbeitung für unerlässlich. Mit anwaltlicher Unterstützung bemühen wir uns aktuell darum, die Geschehnisse vollständig aufzuarbeiten und sicherzustellen, dass Pedro die rechtliche Vertretung und Unterstützung erhält, die er jetzt dringend braucht.

Seine Mutter und seine Cousine sind aus Venezuela nach Deutschland gereist, um in dieser schweren Zeit an seiner Seite zu sein. Neben den enormen emotionalen Belastungen entstehen hohe Kosten für Flüge, Unterkunft, medizinische Begleitung, organisatorische Unterstützung und die notwendige rechtliche Vertretung.

Deshalb haben wir diese Spendenaktion ins Leben gerufen.

Jede Hilfe zählt. Jede Spende bedeutet Unterstützung, Hoffnung und Solidarität – für Pedro und für seine Familie.

<div> El 8 de abril tuvo lugar una intervención policial en Colonia, después de que nuestro amigo Pedro Corona se encontrara en un grave estado de crisis psicológica y sus amigos y familiares solicitaran urgentemente ayuda médica y asistencia profesional.

Durante esta intervención también fue requerida la presencia de la policía. Lo que comenzó como un intento de ayudar a Pedro en una situación de emergencia aguda terminó convirtiéndose en una intervención policial de gran magnitud, como consecuencia de la cual su estado de salud física, que previamente no era crítico, se deterioró de forma dramática.

Desde entonces, Pedro se encuentra en estado de extrema gravedad en la unidad de cuidados intensivos de la Uniklinik Köln.

Según nuestra valoración preliminar y el conocimiento actual de los hechos, existe una seria sospecha de que este grave deterioro podría estar relacionado con un posible uso excesivo de la fuerza por parte de los agentes policiales intervinientes. Queremos dejar algo muy claro: no buscamos una condena anticipada de los policías implicados. Confiamos en el Estado de Derecho y en una investigación seria, objetiva y transparente de todo lo ocurrido.

Precisamente porque todavía quedan muchas circunstancias por esclarecer, consideramos imprescindible una revisión crítica tanto jurídica como fáctica. Actualmente, con apoyo legal, estamos trabajando para esclarecer completamente los hechos y garantizar que Pedro reciba la representación jurídica y la protección que necesita urgentemente.

Su madre y su prima han viajado desde Venezuela hasta Alemania para poder acompañarlo en este momento tan difícil. Además de la enorme carga emocional, existen altos costes de vuelos internacionales, alojamiento, acompañamiento médico, apoyo organizativo y la necesaria representación legal.

Por ello hemos puesto en marcha esta campaña de recaudación de fondos.

Cada ayuda cuenta. Cada donación significa apoyo, esperanza y solidaridad, tanto para Pedro como para su familia.
