It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my Father, Pedro Salvador Franco Chavez. On February 3, 2021, at 11:16 PM, our father took his last breath. He was able to rest after enduring complications stemming from COVID. We are overwhelmed with sadness, but we're glad he is no longer suffering.
He is survived by his 6 children and 3 grandchildren. The loss affects more than just his immediate family. His extended family spans through two countries and several states since he was the youngest of 8 children. Our dad was also a pillar in his community and church. He was a beloved friend and acquaintance of many members of his church, La Iglesia Comunidad Cristiana.
Chava, Don Pedro, Peter, Chavez, our dad was known by many names and by many people because of the person that he was: energetic, well-spoken, and an ardent follower of God. There was no mistaking hearing his voice from one side of the room to the other as he talked on his phone, answering so many people who called in need of a recipe, a referral, Prayer, or just someone that could listen and offer advice from a man of many talents who lived through many experiences.
We want to give Pedro Chavez the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Pedro’s funeral. We need to raise $7,500 by Saturday, February 6, 2021, in order to be able to afford the funeral service.
Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time.
Thank you for your consideration and support,
Leslie Gallegos and Family
