<div>This upcoming July, I will be taking part in the 39th edition of the <strong>Maratona dLes Dolomites.</strong> This is regarded as one of the hardest <em>cycling races</em> in Europe, with a total elevation gain of <strong>4230m </strong>accross <strong>138km . </strong>Those that know me well are aware of how long cycling has been a part of my life and how much it means to me. Taking part in this race is something that I have been dreaming of since I first heard of it two years ago. Both the lead up to and the day of the race will be physically and mentally challenging but I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to race in such a beautiful part of the world. I would like to make something more out of this experience and use it to raise money for Bikes for refugees Scotland. <em> Bikes for Refugees (Scotland) is a small charity based in Scotland that supports refugees through the distribution of free bicycles and the transformational power of cycling. </em>I'm aiming to raise 1000EUR before I hit the start line. Any amount helps—even just sharing this with friends and family makes a huge difference:) See you all in Italy!

Apuntarme a esta carrera es algo que llevo queriendo hacer desde hace bastante tiempo y, aunque probablemente sea una preparación y un día de competición duro, me siento muy afortunada de tener la oportunidad de hacerlo este año. Dada la magnitud del reto, me parecía apropiado darle un sentido mayor a mi participación e intentar recaudar fondos para "Bikes for Refugees Scotland"en el proceso. Esta organización se dedica a apoyar a aquellas familias que no pueden permitirse una bicicleta. Les proporciona bicicletas bien equipadas con luces con el fin de ayudar a su integración social. Mi objetivo es recaudar 1000EUR antes del comienzo de la prueba.
