Pedaling for Pennies

James Rienstra left his hometown of Zimmerman, Minnesota August 19, 2013 - he's been on his pedal bike for 1 year now. He's pedaling 15,000 miles, to the very southern tip of Argentina, raising money and awareness for cancer research.

The goal when James left was to pay for all of his expenses out of his own pocket and he still vows to not take a penny from the money raised from his blog (Pedaling for Pennies). But due to some unforseen equipment issues with the tent, camera, bike and misc. expenses, his budget has been quickly draining.
Funds raised here will help James replace some major parts on the bike and buy airfare for his trip home. Any funds that are left over after covering these expenses will be donated to the Pedaling for Pennies fund, which supports cancer research by parterning with the Randy Shaver Community Cancer Fund.
