Pedaling for Puppies

Hi! My name is Scott Shortino, on August 15th I am planning to bike roughly 1000 miles down the pacific coast, starting in Seattle, Washington and ending in San Francisco, California. Before today, June 23rd, I have never rode a bike more than a mile or 2, so this should be quite the challenge! I am embarking on this quest in hopes to prove to myself and to others that anything is possible through hard work, determination, and grit.
While I am busy looking at all of the beautiful beaches along the Pacific Coast, I want to take the opportunity to raise money for people who can not see for themselves, and give them the ability to live their lives with the same freedoms that I take advantage of on a daily basis. That is why I have partnered with The Seeing Eye, a philanthropic organization whose mission is to improve the self-confidence and independence of blind people through the use of seeing- eye dogs. The Seeing Eye is the oldest existing guide dog school in the world and continues to break down barriers in the guide dog movement. They raise puppies, and train them to be guide dogs' for the blind.
My goal of 5000 dollars would first pay for small equipment needs, depending on what other items I receive in donations. All other proceeds will go directly to The Seeing Eye! I have put all of my money into the equipment, the travel, food etc! I can't do this alone I need your help!!
