Mi nombre es Carlos Lazo. Soy cubanoamericano y maestro. Vivo en la ciudad de Seattle. Un grupo de cubanoamericanos, estadounidenses y yo, acabamos de iniciar un viaje y cruzaremos los Estados Unidos, de un extremo a otro, en bicicleta. Pedalearemos desde Seattle hasta Washington D.C. Vamos a hablar con el presidente de los Estados Unidos o con quien quiera escucharnos. El viaje, durará cerca de un mes, recorreremos más de tres mil millas (casi 5000 km). Visitaremos pueblos y ciudades. Conversaremos con los hombres y mujeres de Estados Unidos, así como con representantes y congresistas. En cada rincón de la unión americana que visitemos, abogaremos por tender puentes de amor entre los pueblos de Cuba y Estados Unidos y por el levantamiento de las sanciones económicas que castigan al pueblo de Cuba.

My name is Carlos Lazo. I am a Cuban American and a teacher. I live in the city of Seattle. A group of Americans, Cuban-Americans, and I, will go across the United States, biking from one extreme to the other. We will cycle from Seattle to Washington D.C. We will talk to the President of the United States or whoever wants to listen to us. The trip will last about a month, we will travel more than three thousand miles (almost 5000 km). We will visit towns and cities. We will talk with the men and women of the United States, as well as with representatives and congressmen. In every corner of the American Union that we visit, we will advocate for building bridges of love between the peoples of Cuba and the United States and for the lifting of economic sanctions that punish the Cuban people.
My friends: Help us to reach our goal. We need the support of the people of good will from the United States and the world who want the creation of bridges of love between our countries. Not everyone of you will be able to pedal with us, but everyone can be part of our effort by donating to our campaing and sharing the message. The funds raised here will be used to buy fuel for the vehicle that will support us, as well as for the equipment, bicycles, parts and all the expenses related to this journey of thousands of miles.
