Pebbles our wee warrior

Below is Pebbles' story for anyone who missed it ⬇️

This little lady is Pebbles and she was rehomed 2 years ago. Pebbles was with us for quite some time whilst we were getting her skin sorted. She suffered with allergies but after a number of months, she was all set and her home was found.

Unfortunately due to a family bereavement and financial pressures, Pebbles was returned and we are shocked and heartbroken. Pebbles had lost quite a lot of weight and had obvious eye problems. She hadn’t been getting her skin meds so we were back to getting on top of that. She was now totally blind, due to her eyes being so bulbous and with so many scratches on the surface. Pebbles then seen a specialist at Earlswood, to see if there was pressure behind the eyes causing them to bulge. Thankfully her bloods were good, infact, great for her age of 11/12 years old, so we know there isn’t any underlying health issues the worst eye was removed and pebbles adjusted brilliantly.

Unfortunately just over a week ago Pebbles needed a vet apt regarding her remaining eye and unfortunately the same thing had happened and the decision was made to remove her remaining eye. It breaks our hearts but the only thing keeping us positive is that she had very little remaining sight in that eye and she has such an amazing relationship with her mummy that her sight isn’t necessary. She is her shadow and she is just relaxed as long as she is there, as we seen at our 2023 calendar shoots just a month ago.

Pebbles had her surgery last week and she has come on so well, she is an absolute warrior and we are in awe of her
