Help Pebbles kitten get new knees (WLPA)
Pebbles is healed after getting two new knees surgically at age 4 months, and she is now 7 months old ready for adoption. She was born unable to straighten her 2 back knees, a condition more common in tiny dogs. Surgery was urgent, one knee at a time to enable her to run, stand and lift her bottom off the ground and was completely successful thanks to donors who enabled her to have the surgery. Healthy otherwise, WLPA accepted special Pebbles from Sutherland pound who wanted her to get care rather than be euthanised. No kill registered charity, THE WORLD LEAGUE FOR PROTECTION OF ANIMALS INCORPORATED responds to communities with unwanted cats, dogs and rabbits born to places or people who do not want them. WLPA has a a high burden of care in food and vet costs so must raise the money to correct her knees surgically. Donors may visit Pebbles, a pure delight, living in foster care in Dulwich Hill. WLPA is a small charity with a modest headquarters and is highly reliant on volunteers, donations and fundraising to pay for animal foods and vet bills. WLPA works 7 days a week year-through to rescue, rehab and then ensure all animals are rehomed. Pebbles will be treated by Dr Donna Schofield, Sydney's charity vet and generously cared for Pebbles at charity rates. Phone 0409741414 for more information, photos, videos on how she walks.
