Hello my name is Gianni Mangano. 

I’ve set up a go fund me account because I am a single mother that has recently been in and out of work for the past four weeks; majority of November beginning of December. Missing work was a result of me fracturing my toe, which later became infected, and alerted doctors to a bone tumor. If I did not fractured this toe, the doctors would have never found the tumor. I have had to go through biopsies, blood work, bone scans, and MRI’s. After receiving all of the test results, it was decided that my toe would be amputated. I am now on bed rest and cannot find a way to pay my bills during the holiday season. I am also still awaiting full results from other body scans and testing that I have underwent, to ensure that I am cancer free.

I know 2020 has been an extremely tough year on everyone. I personally started the pandemic, having my 6-month old child on a ventilator for two and half weeks. My attempt is not to create pity, I want to share my current experiences to illustrate that we can all get through this together. I’m wiggling along trying to care for a 12 year old and also a one year old. If I would not have confronted these two scenarios, missing work, using PTO, FMLA, ect., I would be able maintain the financial support I provide my family. 

I am asking for $2,500, to recoup for the amount of money I have lost over the past month for missing work. I am greatly appreciative to all who see it in their hearts to assist me and my small family.
