Free Masks & PPE - Peace Love and Safety For All

Donation protected

Peace Love & Safety is a community charity started by Jim and Michele James, owners of Happy Rock Inn (located in Gladstone Oregon) that is dedicated to providing free masks, face-shields and hand sanitizer to anyone in our communities who needs them, through donations from neighbors and community members who want to support safety in the community. We do not take a political or other stance, we simply provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to those who need it, as our supplies allow. In some cases, we will deliver to those who do not have transportation or a means to come and get their supplies.

Our efforts are totally funded and supplied by community donation, of PPE, PPE refills, and monetary donations to purchase more supplies. With monetary donations we purchase more PPE, from stores, supply houses and from local seamstresses who make cloth masks and sell them to us at cost. Every dime we receive goes back into purchasing more PPE.

We depend on the community for its donations, as well as for volunteers to help prepare the bags of PPE we give to others, and in some cases to deliver the PPE to those in need. Recently we have been approached by some larger organizations such as senior centers and native American tribes who are struggling, and we are attempting to meet their needs. We appreciate anything that anyone can do to volunteer, donate or help in any way possible such as making online posts or media to help spread the word to the community about the availability of our services.

No one takes any payment for our services or help, unless someone who is receiving product wants to donate to the general fund to purchase more. We appreciate that. We have donated 100% into this effort and everything is completely on a volunteer basis. As of the date of this writing, we have distributed over 900 masks, bottles of hand sanitizer and face shields to the community, completely through private donation.

UPDATE: In late October, we received a donation of 50,000 masks from Bella+Canvas, a mask and t-shirt manufacturer in Los Angeles. This wonderful donation allows us to fulfill a personal goal, to ensure that many of the Native American Tribes and Communities have the masks they need to get them through the winter. We are taking this opportunity a step further, and now seeking a sponsor to provide a sizable donation of hand sanitizer to go along with our masks. AND, since some tribes are particularly devastated by Covid financially and in so many other ways, we are seeking donations of food, water, canned goods, new winter coats, hats, gloves, socks and blankets to provide to the tribes we are visiting as well.

Any help you can give is MUCH appreciated, even if it is just sharing our story. Thanks so much to our donors, our friends and volunteers.
