Hey, Abbie here!
And I’m about to do something on this page that makes me feel wildly uncomfortable: ask you for money… but by putting your hand in your pocket, you could help me to help someone who’s lived through actual hell.
Let me explain…
If you know me, you know I’m big on two things:
1. Making people feel good
2. And living a life that actually means something.
But somewhere along the line, I realised I’d started to lose touch with that second part which led to feeling disconnected and craving deeper fulfilment.
I wanted to do something that gave back.
I didn’t know what that looked like at first.
But then, a little while ago, I received a holistic treatment, and without trying to sound dramatic, it honestly stopped me in my tracks. I walked out feeling more grounded, calm, and hopeful than I had in ages.
So I did what any slightly ADHD, heart-led gobsh*te would do…
I signed up to do a holistic therapy course that very week.
Since then, I’ve been training, learning, and quietly practising each day.
And then, something extraordinary happened...
I’ve been invited to Bosnia as a volunteer therapist with Healing Hands Network; a self-funded charity that provides free treatments to help survivors of war rebuild their physical and psychological health.
This particular project helps innocent civilians who witnessed genocide and endured torture, rape and concentration camps, and still carry the enormous weight of all that, every single day.
Like I mentioned at the beginning of this post: they've lived through hell.
I can’t imagine what that kind of pain feels like.
Or how you even begin to live with it.
But I can offer the skills I’ve been learning behind the scenes.
And I’d love your support to help me deliver that.
Enter: my wildly uncomfortable ask of you......
*screams internally*.
What I’m asking your help with is funding healing treatments for survivors of war, keeping the clinic open, enabling outreach to continue, improving people's lives.
Your donation will directly help someone who’s lived through unimaginable trauma access care, calm, relief and hope… maybe for the first time in decades.
Even a few quid will make a difference. Because when multiple people chip in with what they can, those small acts stack up fast. And into something way more important and life-changing than I can possibly describe here.
And so if you can donate? (I appreciate not everyone is able to)....
Please do it now, while you're here, before life pulls your attention elsewhere.
And thank you (in advance) for being part of this… whether you donate, share it, or just send good vibes when you see me in the studio or street.
