PDX Plates4People - Provide a meal on New Years!

My name is Matt DeWolf and I live in SE Portland. Like you, my heart goes out to all those most vulnerable who have been impacted dearly by the happenings of 2020. I’ve seen hopes fulfilled when people come together around a clear vision. Let’s end 2020 rallying together to provide Turkey dinner plates to those in our community that could use the helping hand. We will be working alongside local organizations to provide meals for families in Foster Care, Veterans, Refugees, Houseless, and others in need. Goal: 750+ meals served Donation needed per plate: $12 + fees Today is the final day of raising funds. Let’s push past the goal!!! Thanks to all of you! 100% of funds donated will be payable to Homage Kitchen to prepare food. Distribution will be on a volunteer basis. I’ll post the invoice and paid receipt to the group for transparency. How we end 2020 will determine how others will start 2021. Let’s make it count! Plates will be distributed to the community on New Years Day in the afternoon. It get’s even better! Dinner will be professionally prepared by Homage Industrial Kitchen. They are forfeiting profits to make this happen but still providing work for their local staff preparing the food. So our local hospitality workers are also being supported!!! Meal: Turkey Dinner with garlic mash potatoes, gravy, green beans and a slice of pie. The meal will be prepared for easy reheat at the recipients home and will be distributed via the Homage Industrial Kitchen location in NW Portland. We need to act quickly to raise funds as the kitchen needs time to prepare the food. Deadline to donate is 1/8/21 Stories of people in need are already pouring into my inbox. Every bit counts.
