Yep it’s me again
In the last few years my darling mum has been juggling working and being the carer for both Dad (major surgery/cancer) and nanna (94 years old and too stubborn to go to a home ) between the two of them they both needed A LOT of care!
We noticed some slight changes with her last year but put the fatigue down to stress, the joint pain in her wrist due to playing the piano, and her change in walk and flexibility due the fractured vertebrae in her back after a nasty fall at the beginning last year.
After recently seeing the neurologist, she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease
As a piano teacher/player she has been having difficulty playing with her right hand now which is heartbreaking as this is her passion.
For those of you that know my mum Judy, she is the kindest, most positive and fun person who always lights up a room. It’s not possible to dislike her.
She’s always doing so much for everyone else I wanted to do something nice for her and surprise her with a return ticket to Ireland as it has always been on her bucket list. I’ve had some very generous donations so the flights are now covered but am still trying to raise more to put towards other travel expenses/accom/experiences so all she will need is spending money
I am heading there myself this year and want to take her with me so she can escape the stresses of her everyday life for a while and have a grand old time doing it!
If anyone deserves a holiday, she sure does!!! So if you can spare a few dollars for this dream I’d really appreciate it :) xx
