<div>Middenin het Groene Hart is al sinds 2006 onze vereniging, Polsstokclub "De Vlist", gevestigd. Op deze unieke locatie wordt elke zomer door jong en oud genoten van ‘de Nederlandse zomersport’ polsstokverspringen, ook wel fierljeppen genoemd. In deze sport, die tevens een immaterieel erfgoed is, worden vele elementen, zoals kracht, explosiviteit en lef gecombineerd. Onze vereniging kent een groeiende groep leden die met veel enthousiasme de sport beoefent. Zo is onze vereniging een bron van ambitie, verbondenheid, maar vooral ook veel plezier.

<div>Om dit ook in de toekomst te kunnen zijn, is het belangrijk dat er vernieuwing plaatsvindt. Op onze accommodatie staan drie schansen die na al die jaren aan vervanging toe zijn. De afgelopen jaren zijn veel verenigingen ons voorgegaan in de aanleg van nieuwe schansen. Het contrast met onze eigen accommodatie wordt hierdoor steeds groter, terwijl de accommodatie in Vlist destijds de meest vooruitstrevende locatie was waar het verst gesprongen kon worden. Om onze vereniging weer op de kaart te zetten, is een renovatie essentieel. Om ook de komende jaren de prestaties van onze springers naar een hoger niveau te kunnen blijven tillen en onze culturele en sociale functie te behouden, moet er simpelweg worden vernieuwd.
