My son Tyler has been living with Type 1 diabetes since he was 7 years old, along with hundreds of thousands of other children and adults. As with any parent I want the quality of my son's life to be the best possible while managing his diabetes. The only way to do that is to bring awareness to what this disease is, what it does, what it prevents people who live with it from doing.

I will be hiking 2650 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail aka The PCT, to educate and bring awareness to those who are not aware of what type 1 diabetes is and how it is compared to type 2.

Not only will this bring awareness to a disease that has debilitated many and caused so many unnecessary deaths but it will also give a child or adult living with this deadly disease the opportunity to tell their story.

The funds raised in this gofundme account will help us on this journey during our hike with essentials like resupplies.

All funds raised over what is needed to complete this hike will be donated to JDRF on behalf of our followers.
