Portage County Ohio Historical - New Boiler

This last fall, the museum's original 1963 150-gallon boiler developed cracks and was nearing failure; a risk of flooding our research library. The board immediately moved to replace the boiler at a cost of $10,000. Blind and Sons was generous and donated labor and parts reducing our cost to $8,500.

The Portage County Historical Society has no paid employees, is entirely volunteer-operated and has an annual budget of $20,000 that is mostly derived from membership dues and donations. Between reduced membership involvement from COVID-19 and an unexpected repairs, our funding is very low.

We are hoping that you will consider making a donation to help us offset this cost and help keep PCHS around for generations to appreciate what has made Portage County, Ohio truly unique.
