As of right now, the primary expenses remaining are the most selfish I could ever request and the most humbling. i want to be as transparent as possible! We will still need roughly $3k so that my household is able to travel from Nevada to Oregon for two separate trips (more info in original post below and will add a photo of the "high-end" approximate budget). I wish I could say we could make it work without help, but unfortunately, that is very likely not the case which is heart breaking and nerve-wracking. That money will include helping other members of the family with my dad's bills and debts, storage unit, and the gathering. Gofundme is also charging a certain percentage of the money in order to transfer funds. 
 
In order to arrange a celebration of life for his close friends and family on his birthday, I will need to go up there ahead of time to begin planning and getting things all sorted while my partner is still able to take time off for bereavement.

ORIGINAL POST (some added or removed) 11/07/2025: Our family is in need of both prayers and financial help. With heavy, humble hearts, having had little ability to see each other more than once a decade as it is, it would help us so much to reconnect during this sad, difficult time (after almost 12 years). 
 
Help is still NEEDED. I have no choice but to reach out at this moment. It sucks, all of this freaking sucks. Our dad didn't have any property or an estate that would even remotely touch the costs and there's no written will to guide us. 
 
Our 91-year-old grandma can't afford everything; she isn't even supposed to be in this situation of burying her son in the first place, which is just devastating all of us even more. My sister is chronically disabled with tons of medical bills. I'm currently on a fixed income from my own issues and unable to afford much of anything on my own. His 20+ year partner just lost her job weeks before he passed and is currently grieving and stressing finding a job. *Not a good time dad!* I really don't want the whole burden to fall on ANYONE and clearly I don't want money to prevent us from holding each other. 
 
We need to travel from Nevada to Central Oregon in order to go spend time as a family and grieve together amongst other expenses, it is heavy and near impossible on our own. Calculations are totaling a little over $3000.00 at this point (2 trips). 
 
I am reaching out the one way that I know can remotely help us make it possible. Every penny counts. Every penny will go towards costs associated with a small celebration of life, travel expenses (most costly at this point), any outstanding debts or bills, storage unit until we can go through it, and if there is anything remaining will go to the Kingsley family and his partner.
 
His death was so unexpected and most of the preparation stuff falls into the lap of my sister to cover just because she is the next of kin (oldest child), and it's overbearing. Due to her mental, physical, and financial situation... I don't want her to bear that burden alone, and if I can help it, bear it at all. 
 
We are having to play literally everything by ear and our budgets to even be able to simply sit together one day, let alone be able to do any type of celebration of life. Trip #1 is planned for December or January. Trip #2 is definitely going to be April 30th - May 3rd.
 
If anyone feels compelled or has a desire to give but can't afford it, PRAYERS are also a form of payment and assurance that we will be able to come together. We NEED to sort through belongings, spread his ashes, remember the good times, watch videos and look at pictures, and to laugh, cry, and mourn together. 
 
I would also like to ensure my family up North can finally meet my baby, including her biological aunt Kiki and her paternal great-grandmother, who've only seen photos and videos. BUT with emphasis on her great-grandma, who is in her 90s and was just hospitalized for heart trouble a month ago. We can also hope we can meet our dad's son for the first time who was adopted at birth. 
 
Our family is and will forever be appreciative of anything. This is the biggest request I could ask, like EVER. It's even kind of embarrassing, but in this case, it feels necessary so none of us end up in debt (or all of us). May God bless everyone who sees this, reads it, skims it, responds to it, contributes, or shares it. I promise to pay it forward whenever I can, wherever I can, however I can.
