PCC Cares: PCC 5000 Fighting Food Insecurity

Philadelphia Catering has focused on supporting our community in various ways.  From park clean ups, volunteering at and donating to Philabundance to fighting food insecurity for the city's less fortunate.  In 2011 We launched the charitable arm of our company which we dubbed – PCC 5000!

PCC 5000 is focused on the spirit of giving back to the community with the ultimate goal of providing 5000 free meals to our city’s neediest people. For almost 10 years now, we have partnered with Elder Dennis Spain and Bridging the Gap Ministries to host a Thanksgiving dinner for the homeless. We have long since surpassed our goal of 5000 and continue to look for ways we can give back to the community using the resources we have available to us – delicious prepared meals.  In 2020 we decided to change things up and host an Easter dinner event for the homeless.  Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we were unable.  Looking forward, we want to ensure that we focus, now more than ever, to help fight food insecurity in Philadelphia.  

During this COVID-19 crisis, food insecurity is at an all-time high.  People are out of work and families are depending on food donations to survive.  We will continue to partner with Bridging the Gap Ministries and other local organizations to provide meals to those individuals/families who need support during this time.  Donations will be used to provide delicious and nutritious meals.  All donations are greatly appreciated, and no amount is too small - every bit helps!    We will continue to provide updates on this project.  Thank you for your support!
