Dear friends and family,

As some of you already may know, On July 16, Omar was hospitalized. While he was in the hospital, he had a stroke. He is now recovering from his second stroke at the age of 40.

Omar received a miracle in 2013 after making an exceptional recovery from a massive stroke at the age of 34. After his first stroke, he was committed to live his life intentionally. He looked at surviving from the stroke as his second chance. He was on a mission to figure out why he was still here. He gave his life to Jesus. He made a commitment to God to live his life completely different than he ever had. His faith inspired me every day. I would often catch him on his knees praying in our bedroom closet. He was always eager to tell me the what he had read in his bible. He had turned his life around completely.

He was proud of his new life, our marriage, and the celebration of the most unexpected gift of all, our baby girl, Jemma. Meanwhile, every day was a struggle for Omar. He was still suffering from spasticity from the stroke. He tried to never show me how much he was suffering. He put on a strong face, for me, and for Jemma. He knew he was going to be in pain no matter what but he still wanted to take pleasure in enjoying his life with me and Jemma. He would suffer silently, as we would go on small trips up north, and as of recent, to the Grand Canyon and Utah. He loved to get down on the floor and play with our girl. His favorite thing was to throw all of the couch cushions on the floor and toss Jemma into the them and she loved it too. He loved rocking her to sleep and watching her drift to sleep peacefully.

Omar is truly the strongest man I have ever met, intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. With this new stroke, doctors are anticipating a much slower recovery. His brain has been compensating from the first stroke for a long time. We are not sure what his recovery will be this time. We are praying God will give Omar another miracle.

If you would like to support us financially in his recovery, please consider donating to us but please by any means do not feel obligated. Any money raised will go to support Omar medically. Thank you so much the outpouring of love, prayers, and support and for your consideration.

With love and appreciation,

Team Omar
