"Pay It Forward" Family Meals

Welcome to our GoFundMe page. We’re an established family run Thai restaurant opened in Shepherds Bush, London since 1992. We are predominantly a restaurant but have been trading as take away only since 25th March 2020 when the government announced all restaurants to close with exception to take aways only. With the recent restrictions in place, we have wanted to help those in need where possible. As we are a family run food business, it was a fitting idea to help feed families that may be in hardship during the covid19 pandemic.
In 2018-2019, 1.6 million food parcels were given to people in crisis by the Trussell Trust Food Bank . Almost half a million of those parcels were given to children.
We understand that “eating out” or ordering “take aways” are a luxury that many families have/will never experience, so we would like to ask for your help in providing some joy to those families during an awful time like today.
We are introducing the “pay it forward” campaign at our restaurant where your generosity will pay for a meal in advance for a family in crisis.
For every £40 received from your generous donations, we will issue a “pay it forward” gift voucher where a family can order food directly from our restaurant and collect as a take away with no cost to them.
We have confirmed collaboration with UPG (Urban Partnership Group - specifically The Masbro Centre) and with Hammersmith & Fulham Food Bank, both collectively look after over 600 vulnerable families that can benefit from our campaign in our community, if we can issue enough gift vouchers!!!
We hope that in these troubling times you are able to show your generosity and donate something to help feed a family. Our initial goal was to achieve 15 meals that we can give to families that need a helping hand. We have exceeded our goal and will continue the campaign for as long as we keep getting donations. No matter how big or small your donation is, it will make a difference. We don’t know how far our campaign will go and who we can reach, but what we do know is we have to try.
