Paying tribute to Megan Langley Pike

To everyone who may not yet have heard the news, our dear friend Chris Pike's wife Megan Langley Pike died in a tragic accident on April 27, 2019. Megan's funeral was held on April 30, 2019. What has happened is beyond comprehension and their families are still in shock. Understandably Chris and Megan's families are struggling to cope, so I am asking all of us as friends, family and co-workers, to step in and help cover the cost of Megan's funeral. Chris found out on Tuesday that he did not have life insurance coverage through Vertex Aerospace although he has carried it the past 12 years. The company said he did not elect it during this year's open enrollment. Everyone that works there knows there have been several issues with open enrollment. Vertex did attempt to see if Met Life would accept back payments for the past 8 pay periods and honor Chris's previous elections. They would not. No one is to blame and regardless of any errors made we have all asked in time of the loss of a loved one is "If there is anything I can do, just let us know." "If you need anything you know where we are." We all know nothing we can do will take away the pain.
