Paying Tribute to a Husband, Father, and Brother

Two years ago, my little brother, Luis, left this earth much too young. He didn't get to say good-bye. But the disease that took him is ravaging our nation and its youth. Many may judge. But to his wife, Stephanie, his youngest daughter, Natalie, and his other children, the only thing they have left to remember him are his empty chair at holidays and hugs they will never be able to share. He was laid to rest two years ago on December 7th, and there he remains in an unmarked grave. 

Only one year my junior, we had a childhood full of laughter together. He had a larger-than-life laugh, and an ease that made you never doubt his love. Although his inner demons haunted him perpetually, he never let it show.  

Missing someone is an indescribable feeling, an emptiness that can never be filled. It is a loneliness that lingers like a shadow, deeply felt by the soul. Although the tears no longer flow from our eyes, they flow from the core of our hearts.  Please help us find a way to commemorate a less-than-perfect, but beautiful life lived with a headstone that will stand in remembrance of him.

As his big sister, I could not protect him then, but I can now help give his final resting place dignity and significance with your help.  My name is Nicole, and I am asking for your help. No amount is too small.
