Paying tribute to Julie and Mason

Donation protected
As a family member, I am creating this for my wife and her father. Our family is trying to raise funds to help offset the financial burden of the funeral costs for both Julie and Mason.

On May 26th, Julie Wood and Mason Lesczykowski (10 years old) were forever taken from our lives in their home.

Julie was a loving and caring mother of Angie Ingram, my wife, and Sam Lesczykowski, as well as a passionate, loving, and giving grandmother to our five children and Mason.  Mason is the son of Sam.

Julie loved her grandchildren, there was never any question about that. She was there for all but one of our children's births; no easy task seeing how we have five children, and four of them were born in Washington state where we lived just last year. For our last child, an at-home-birth at our house in Minnesota born just last November, Julie hade made no exception and was there once more.

Julie had just got off the third shift when Angie called her to tell her she was going into labor. Julie made the trip from Kiel Wisconsin all the way to SE Minnesota some 5 1/2 hour drive, just so she could be here. When it came time for our child to come into this world, without hesitation, Julie took all the children downstairs so that Angie could have peace and quiet while delivering.

Julie also hosted as many birthday parties as she could, either at her home or at common places, including my son’s third birthday almost a month ago. It is safe to say she really enjoyed making sure her grandchildren were blessed with grandma love and gifts! Julie even made a lasting impact on my 3 year old boy. He is very picky about who gets to hold him and who he trusts. Julie was his go to person when we came out to visit her. She even became his "Grandma Shark" and he was the “Baby Shark”.

Because of that, she was able to get him into the public pull to take him swimming when no one else could, or offer a lap for him to take a nap on. Even as I write this, he is still asking to see grandma and expressing his love for her. We are extremely fortunate that he was able to celebrate his third birthday this year in April with Julie. Our family will forever be grateful for the impact and influences she had left us.

Mason was a spirited, respectful, and smart young man. Mason touched the lives of everyone that he encountered. There was never a moment that he did not call me by anything but "Uncle Will" and always listened to what I had to say to him. His level of understanding to be respectful to others went well beyond his age.

My children loved playing with their cousin, Mason. Mason had a unique way with playing at the individual age level of each of my children. He made them feel at home; they always asked if Mason was going to be at grandma's house when we came out to visit.  Both Julie and Mason had welcomed my two older children in their home for three months as we made our transitional move from Washington state to Minnesota. So much so, that when it came time to pick them up from grandma and Mason's home and bring them to our new home, they did not want to leave.  Mason loved to laugh, loved to learn, loved to play and loved his family.

We ask that you graciously donate in any way possible to help offset the cost of two funerals. Any donation, whether it be in monetary value or a helping hand will certainly go a long way towards allowing our family to deal with the lost of two innocent souls instead of focusing on the financial stress and burden. Prayers and comments are certainly welcomed. Thank you.
