Paying off lunch debt in schools

Student lunch debt is a serious problem in many school districts. When students have a negative balance in their lunch account they get a cheese sandwich which isn't very nutritional.  Some families are unable to afford reduced or full price lunch despite there being an application process to determine what a family's income qualifies them for.  Some students bring food from home but in my opinion, if they cannot afford to pay for school lunch, they cannot afford to bring nutritional food from home. My goal is to raise money to eliminate the current school lunch debt in my school district and hopefully have more left over to donate to some students accounts.  My hope is that someday school lunch will be free for ALL students because a full stomach means a thinking brain.
