paying for the hospitalisation of Molly the Pug

My name is Alona and right now I feel like the stupidest person on this planet because I didn’t buy insurance for my Baby.

Last night was the worst night of my life!!!! ;(

It all happened so fast, Molly was perfectly fine and herself enjoying her walk yesterday at 7.30 pm, then I went to the gym at 8 and was back home at around 10 pm to find a sign of poo or vomit on the floor (she ate that so I could t see what it was exactly - pugs are sometimes silly).

All was good she behaved well and ate an apple with me and we went to bed. At 1 am Molly woke me up, she wanted to go toilet. So we went out she had mild diarrhoea that she sometimes do anyways so we went home and I gave her prokolin and we went back to bed.

After 5 min in bed I could see she was uncomfortable and strated scratching her face. This is how her face looked like (please see on the photo). I immediately gave her antihistamine and it seemed to help so we cuddled and tried to sleep.

3 am Molly woke me up vomiting, then vomiting again. After that her breathing was shallow so I looked on her guns and tongue and they were white! I started crying, Molly was getting weaker and weaker, I started panicking, immediately called the Medivet Hospital in Kensington.

by the time I was putting my clothes on, Molly had diarrhoea all over everywhere while I was holding her and she was almost unconscious. Im crying my eyes out, scared for her life, running to the car, she started having bloody diarrhoea. Im crying like crazy driving to the hospital.

Kensington hospital is full, they sent us to Camberwel. Her pulse was weak and her hart rate was fast. Her temperature was quite low.

Molly is now admitted in Camberwell Medivets.

She was admitted at 5am and now is feeling better, blood work was almost good apart from the liver enzymes which they said it can be mormal in this condition.

they have her on the iv drip, anti neausea meds, warming her up, she had anti allergy shot as well and some gut medicine and paracetamol.

The vets think it was an insect bite or Molly ate an insect and she had an anaphylactic shock that could led to the gastro issues like that.

They are not 100%, I think she might have licked a poison in the grass when outside.

If you can help me please, every penny counts.

The bill is estimated £1200, I had paid £600 for now which I took from my rent money for this month and I don’t have much left on my account as I’m in between jobs and will struggle to pay my rent now :(

Please if you dont have pet insurance, get it like I’m getting it straight away after this incident. Even if you had no issues with your pet for over 5 years, this happens and you are in a very bad position.

GUYS, please don’t judge me, I will
be getting insurance today and please pray for Molly that she recovers fast!

Apparently she is slowly getting back to her usual clowny self as she made the nurses laugh already with her poker face! :)

the Vets say she will be most likely coming home tomorrow morning, I need all the prayers I can get please!

And Any penny will be much appreciated so you can help me pay my bill and not to get evicted.

thank you very much!!
