PAY THEIR RENT (and moving expenses)

Hello!

Thanks so much for coming to this GFM page. The aim of this GFM is to elevate some upcoming financial stress for Pris, who is a young Black mum, and community leader who has just endured a very difficult pregnancy, and delivered a new baby girl to their family which already contains two small ones!

Through the pregnancy Pris endured horrific hyperemesis gravidarum (when nausea and vomiting become severe, lasting for more than a few days, people who are pregnant will find it hard to eat or drink enough), on top of already exisiting chronic health issues, and previous birthing traumas.

Pris also runs Decolonise SW AU***, as well as providing transport and support for terminally unwell family members.

If all this sounds like a lot, it's because it is - and to top it off Pris has recently has notice that their family is being evicted from their home - that's where we come in. This GFM campaign is being set up to literally PAY THEIR RENT (and moving expenses).

Below is a general outline to provide context and transparency for the goal amount, but also keep in mind these amounts are very loose, and also how this money is spent is wholly at the discretion of Pris and their family.

$4000 - Provide Bond and 2 weeks rent

$4000 - Packing and Removal service

$750 - End of Lease Clean

$2500 - Additional funds to show agent proof of income/funds

($11250 approx for move, based on $600pw rent for family home iduring a rental and cost of living crisis)

and once Pris is moved,

$30000 to pay their rent, so they can continue to look after themself, their family and community.

($41250 total)

It is important to the people who love Pris and want justice for Blak folks in this colony that this is smashed out.
