Pay off a mortgage and save me!!!

Having lived in Germany for the past 35 years, my husband and I decided to return back to England to be able to enjoy our retirement. Unfortunately due to not having been in the country for a period of time we were unable to take a mortgage out in either of our names but my husbands daughter from a previous marriage offered to take the mortgage out in her name while we pay her the monthly payments.
Sadly my husband unexpectedly passed away approximately a year after this had been arranged. My step daughter then chose to take a step back from the family and has ended all communication with me which I am unaware as to what the reason behind this is. I have hired a solicitor, as this seems to be the only way I am able to communicate with her. I am desperate to get the property in my name as I want to be able to leave the property to my two children for when I pass away.
She has written to my solicitor, due to my request of contacting the mortgage company which she has refused me to do. She has also without contacting me added £15000-£20000 on to the mortgage without my knowledge and is expecting me to pay this full amount. She has now written to my solicitor again saying that she does no longer what to be apart of this mortgage and has given me until July to pay the amount in full otherwise she will put the property on the market which will mean that I will lose my family home and I will not know where I will be able to live.
I have tried to raise the money through equity release but unfortunately as the deeds are not in my name this is also not an option for me which is why I am hoping to raise some money so that I am able to keep my home for me and my children.
