Paws Up for Yoda

On 10/4, our very favorite chocolate lab Yoda needed surgery to survive. In understandable terms, he had some weird stuff going on in his intestines that could have been fatal. 

Luckily, he made it to the vet that night within a window where he could be operated on. The surgeon removed the bad stuff and patched him up. He is currently still on oxygen and heart rate meds and is looking to improve. It will be touch-and-go for the next few days. 

Yoda is the beloved 7-year-old pup of our lovely friends Jack Barcheck and Kimberly Nowland. If you're reading this, you know Kim and Jack and you know how they're two of the kindest people imaginable. If you don't know them, you may have stumbled upon this because you're a cyclist or a friend of a cyclist. These two are our community members - and they need our help. 

This surgery was expensive - beyond what you can even imagine - and Kim and Jack are in need of funds to pay for Yoda's surgery and vetting. Every $ raised will go towards the vet bill. 

Yoda is the dog baby of Kim and Jack. He means the world to them. He survived cancer last year and he can get through this now, but they need your help.
