Please support PAWS Rehab’s efforts to stay in business!

As many of you know, for more than a year we have been involved in negotiations with our landlord regarding the continuation of business in our current location. Some of the issues involve controlling the overall humidity level and determining the scope and responsibility for repairs to the facility, which are the result of improper workmanship by the original tenant improvement contractor.

We’re happy to be able to say that a settlement is within reach!! And, that our portion is much more “doable” than the original estimates. However, we're faced with the reality that these improvements are costly, at least $25,000. We'll definitely need help paying for these.  It’s difficult asking for help, especially when it’s asking for financial help.

As ominous as this all seems, we’re also very excited about the opportunity to grow our business. PAWS Rehab continues to offer the most comprehensive canine aquatic rehabilitation and sports services on the West Coast.

A repaired and upgraded facility will allow us to follow up on many of the ideas that you have suggested, for example, such as additional dock diving practices, more recreational swimming sessions and puppy rec swims.  You’ve also suggested some very fun ideas that we’ll be to able consider such as learning the safe way to kayak/paddleboard with your dog, and dog swim relay races.

Despite “treading water” for the past year, one thing that has remained positive and constant is knowing that we truly have the “best” clients – four and two legged

Many of you have offered to help us paint, stain wood, clean, etc. Being in a state of “legal limbo”, sometimes not knowing if we would even be here for another month, we were not able to accept your offers. However, after the installation of the humidity equipment and some new walls, we’ll be more than happy to accept your help!

Another constant is our Mission Statement. It’s still as important to us, today, as it was during our 2015 original business planning phase.

Mission Statement:  Paws Aquatics Water Sports and Rehab utilizes the latest advancements in canine swim rehabilitation, striving to help with a speedy recovery from injury and/or surgery by reducing pain and restoring mobility, endurance, and agility. By celebrating and nurturing the human-animal bond we strive to improve the quality of life for both dog and owner. By providing our unique and compassionate services, we aim to maximize your pet's performance and improve the quality and longevity of his/her life.
Thank you all for your continued, support, loyalty and patience!
